Dr. Mohammad Ferdosi Appointed Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal

The Department of Political Science congratulates Dr. Mohammad Ferdosi on his appointment as tenure track Assistant Professor of Public Policies on Labour and Employment at the École de relations industrielles de l’Université de Montréal.
Dr. Ferdosi is a graduate of McMaster’s Department of Political Science, where he completed his PhD in Comparative Public Policy under the supervision of Professor Emeritus Stephen McBride. Before joining the Université de Montréal, he held postdoctoral fellowships at Toronto Metropolitan University, first in Critical Policy Studies in the Department of Politics and Public Administration and then as a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow with the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration and Integration.
At the Université de Montréal, Dr. Ferdosi will develop a research program on Quebec’s income support and employment service systems, focusing on how public programs are designed, delivered and experienced by applicants, recipients and job seekers. This work is especially timely in a context of rising affordability pressures, labour market insecurity and growing demand for accessible public support.
The Department congratulates Dr. Ferdosi on this appointment and wishes him continued success in his new role.
