The Department of Political Science is delighted to share that MA Political Science student Faith Feeney has received the prestigious SSHRC CGS-M national award. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and high research potential.
We are incredibly proud to support Faith’s groundbreaking work in “Grant Rates and Access to Justice at the Health Services Appeal and Review Board”. Motivated and puzzled by the administrative tribunals, specifically Ontario’s Health Services Appeal and Review Board (HSARB)’s unusually low rate of appeals granted, Faith aims to evaluate the administrative fairness and independence of the Board’s decision-making process. She will investigate if Ontarians are prevented from accessing public funded health services based on publicly released decisions in Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLii).
Congratulations Faith, we wish you continued success in the graduate research journey ahead!
