It is with sadness that the Department of Political Science shares the news of Janet Ajzenstat’s passing on May 27th. Dr. Ajzenstat was an Emeritus Professor in our department. She made significant contributions on the political thought of Lord Durham, the debates surrounding the adoption of the 1867 Constitution, and the rights-protecting functions of responsible government. Her work is still taught in our courses.
