Welcome to Dr. Adrienne Davidson

Please join us in extending a very warm welcome to the newest member of the Political Science Department!

Jul 22, 2020

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Adrienne Davidson, who joins the Department of Political Science (July 1) as Assistant Professor.  Dr. Davidson brings new strengths to our Canadian and comparative public policy fields. Her research agenda  focuses on the political and policy dynamics of federal systems, placing Canada in comparative perspective. She organizes this work along two central themes. First, she explores the politics of policy change in federal systems—investigating the conditions that favour policy change and that affect the choice of certain policy or governance decisions. Second, she looks at linkages between institutions and group identity, and the ways in which institutions can shape, reinforce, or undermine minority groups. Adrienne is looking forward to teaching courses in public policy and administration, Canadian politics, as well as a new graduate seminar on Laboratories of Democracy? Public Policy in Canada and other Federal Systems. Read on to learn more about her research.
