Dr. Peter Graefe has been invited to present his new research at the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association 2025 Policy Conference in December. The invitation follows the release of a report co-authored with Dr. Mohammad Ferdosi, produced in collaboration with the Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction. The study documents the experiences of low-income, job seeking Ontarians under the province’s new social assistance system, offering timely evidence on service access, labour market challenges and program outcomes.
This closed policy conference brings together municipal leaders and practitioners to discuss emerging evidence that can inform service delivery and policy design across the province. Dr. Graefe will highlight key findings and implications for improving supports for job seekers and strengthening pathways to stable employment.
