Graduate Supervisors
Meet Our Supervisors
The Department of Political Science is home to many faculty members available to supervise graduate students in a variety of specializations.
PhD applicants would benefit from indicating potential faculty members with whom you would like to work with when submitting your statement of interest.
MA students will have a supervisor assigned to them in the first term of the program (Fall term).

We are interested in understanding all facets of the Canadian political system. In addition to the institutional and constitutional foundations of the Canadian state, we have expertise on law and public policy, Indigenous politics, political behaviour and public opinion, social policy and the welfare state, and Canadian political economy. As a faculty, we are methodologically diverse, with the ability to support and train students in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research.

Comparative Public Policy
We are interested in understanding how governments and policy makers address critical societal challenges and developing effective and evidence-based policy solutions. International Relations
We are interested in understanding how critical approaches to world politics can reveal the unequal power relations of world order as well as how these conditions are challenged and contested. We draw on a wide variety of theoretical traditions including constructivist, ecological, feminist, historical materialist, post-colonial and post-structural approaches.
Faculty members have overlapping interests in alternative diplomacies, citizenship studies and transnational social movements, climate change, international political economy, international relations theory, global governance, post-colonialism and politics of the global south.
